About This Role
We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Yard Assistant to support our storage operations. You will play a key role in managing yard efficiency, from operating forklift machinery to securing container storages. This role requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and can handle a diverse workload.
Requirements
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate counterbalance or reach forklifts to transport, stack, and organize materials throughout the yard.
- Container Management: Manage the opening, locking, and security of storage containers, ensuring all units are correctly locked if unpaid.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety (H&S) regulations, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Physical Fitness: Capability to perform heavy lifting and remain active on your feet for the duration of a shift.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle varied tasks as required.
- Professionalism: Strong reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
